***SCAM ALERT***
In the overnight hours of 7/11/2024, Corydon PD officers received several calls about a gentleman claiming to be an officer with the Indianapolis Metro Police Department calling individuals and telling them that they had warrants for their arrest and demanding that they pay $900 or go to jail. THIS IS A SCAM!

Law enforcement agencies will never call you and demand payment . Please be aware of scammers. Below are some helpful tips on how to avoid this type of situation.

***HOLIDAY REMINDER***
As we celebrate the birth of our great nation, all too often, we see an increased number of impaired driving crashes. Here are a few reminders for 4th of July;

*If you plan to drink, plan ahead for a sober ride home.
*Even if you've only had one drink, let someone who hasn't had a drink take you home. A sober driver is one who does not drink at all, not the one who has had the least amount to drink.
*If you see an impaired driver on the roadway, safely pull over and notify law enforcement.

**REMEMBER** If you feel different, you drive different!
