Wayne Athletic Schedule for the upcoming week. We've got HS Volleyball kicking off their season with back-to-back home matches on Monday and Tuesday and our Wayne Cross Country runners have their home meet on Thursday! The week of activities ends with Varsity Wayne Falcon Football at Montezuma on Friday night! Lots of chances to support your athletes in person and through GoWayneTV! FALCON PRIDE!

FOOTBALL GAME DAY INFORMATION

The Wayne Falcon Football team heads to East Union to take on the Eagles in the opening game of the 2026 season! Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students (POI passes are NOT accepted, as this is not a POI contest).

A site map provided by East Union is included to indicated visitors admission and parking.

For those who can't attend, GoWayneTV will have the broadcast for free (subscription required to view on demand afterwards), with Tyler Moore and Doc Whitney on the call!

Activity Passes can be picked up in the HS Office from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm today or tomorrow (August 28th). They will also be available for pickup at the gate during the HS Volleyball match at home on August 31st and the first Varsity Football Home game on September 11th.

Fall sports officially kick off this week with Wayne Cross Country and Wayne Falcon Football getting their seasons underway! The HS XC teams travel to Albia and football opens their season at East Union! Check out the document for links to GoWayneTV's coverage on Friday and other helpful information. FALCON PRIDE!

HS FOOTBALL SCRIMMAGE INFORMATION

For tonight's home HS Football scrimmage against Central Decatur, we will open gates at 5:00 and the scrimmage will start at 6:00 pm. There is no charged admission, but we are requesting donations of water or gatorade at the ticket booth. Please bring whatever you are willing to give, all items will be go directly to the HS Football program!

Please also note that this is just a scrimmage, so we will NOT have our normal full concession stand (they will have some items), there will NOT be score kept and the format will NOT resemble an actual football game.

We look forward to getting a look at this year's team in this scrimmage before the season gets kicked off next week at East Union!

Just a reminder about tonight's Fall Sports Kickoff event in the HS parking lot at 6:30. This is for ALL JH & HS fall sports athletes to attend! Booster Club will be providing pizza and desserts to go along with team introductions and the Bags Tournament! Hope to see everyone there!

The Wayne Athletic Booster Club would like to invite everyone out to their Fall Sports Kickoff Event on Thursday, August 20th at 6:30 pm in the HS Parking lot! See the graphic for more information and don't miss the chance to hear the voice of GoWayneTV Tyler Moore introduce our JH and HS teams!

The elementary teachers were so excited to see all the students tonight! We are so excited for a new school year to start. Make sure to enjoy your last few days of summer and rest up for Monday!
