South Harrison Community School Corporation is the largest of three public school systems in Harrison County, located along the Ohio River in southern Indiana. SHCSC consists of eight schools, serving more than 3000 students and their families. Our schools are part of the fabric of the communities they serve, including Corydon, Elizabeth, Laconia, Mauckport, New Middletown, and surrounding rural a

It was an exciting first day of Camp Invention for our students! 🚀 They spent the day engaged in hands-on activities, creating their own rockets and brainstorming creative inventions. We can't wait to see what they create and accomplish throughout the rest of the week! 👀

Yesterday was a special day as we celebrated our seniors and everything they've accomplished during their time here at South Harrison. It’s hard to believe their high school journey has come to an end.❤️

We’re so proud of each and every graduate and excited to see what comes next for them. 👏

🏫Pick Up Locations: Corydon Intermediate School and South Central Elementary School

📅Mondays from 10:30am-12:30pm; June 1 - July 27

✏️Please complete the Summer Meals 2026 Survey at http://bit.ly/4eTW9BO to begin the verification process. SHCSC students may be absent at pick up if this survey is completed.

‼️All non-SHCSC children MUST be present at pickup for verification. Children receiving meals at the Boys and Girls Club of Harrison County are not eligible to receive meal bags.

We are SO excited to introduce the FIRST-EVER graduating group of students earning a 2-year Associate Degree while attending CCHS! 🎉 Meet Stella Wolfe, Reese Withers, Madison Stilwell, Dane Inman, Lincoln Greene, Brayden Crain!

These students are graduating tomorrow with 60 college credits already under their belt, and we could not be more proud of their hard work and accomplishments! 👏👏👏

This is an incredible opportunity that we are proud to offer students right here in our very own classrooms! ✅

Our South Central and Corydon Central seniors were recently recognized at their Senior Awards Nights! Together, they earned over $2.5 million in scholarships and awards for academic and athletic achievements, community service involvement, internships, employability skills, attendance, and more.✅

It’s safe to say the Class of 2026 is a very successful and hardworking group of students. We believe their work ethic and determination will take them far in life, and we are so excited to see what the future holds for each of them!

The Indiana General Assembly recently passed the “Bell-to-Bell” law (Senate Bill 78), which prohibits the use of wireless communication devices, including cell phones and smart watches, during the entire school day. Under this new law, devices must be powered off, stored, and inaccessible to students throughout the day.📵

South Harrison is currently developing procedures for implementing this law during the 2026–2027 school year in compliance with state requirements. Additional information regarding what this means for students and families will be shared soon.

We appreciate your support and understanding as we work through this transition and comply with the new Indiana law.
