💗👜 That’s a wrap on Power of the Purse 2026! 👜💗

What an incredible day celebrating the women who lead, serve, encourage and make a difference throughout Harrison County and beyond.

Nearly 300 women, community leaders, businesses and friends joined us for a day centered around connection, encouragement and celebrating the impact women make every single day — often without ever asking for recognition in return.

We were incredibly honored to welcome former Indiana First Lady Judy O’Bannon as our 2026 keynote speaker. Her conversation with Pam Bennett-Martin was filled with wisdom, laughter and heartfelt reminders about leadership, perseverance, community and the importance of showing up for one another. 💕

One of the most special moments of the day was our Leading Lady Award. This year, 43 nominations were submitted recognizing incredible women throughout our community — a beautiful reminder of just how many women are quietly making Harrison County a better place to live, work and call home.

✨ Congratulations to our 2026 Leading Lady, Jo Ann Spieth-Saylor! Jo Ann’s dedication to serving others and the countless ways she has poured into those around her made this recognition incredibly special.

This past Friday, August 28, we had the pleasure of celebrating Beckden Buildings and their new storefront in New Salisbury with an official Chamber Ribbon Cutting!

While Beckden may be known for their quality buildings and outdoor structures, their new storefront has so much more to explore!

Inside, you’ll find a unique mix of products for your home, family and outdoor spaces, along with local finds, community favorites and items from other area businesses. It’s truly a fun place to stop in, browse and see what’s new - with a little something for everyone!

And, of course, Beckden continues to offer their selection of Amish-crafted sheds, garages, cabins, greenhouses and other customizable structures, along with plenty of options to help you make the most of your home and outdoor space.

We love seeing businesses continue to grow, invest and create new reasons to shop local right here in Harrison County! It’s especially exciting to see the continued growth and momentum happening throughout the New Salisbury community! 💙

Join us at Harrison County Hospital for an evening focused on healthcare in our community. Networking begins at 5:00 PM, followed by the Community Healthcare Forum from 6:00–7:30 PM featuring leaders from Harrison County Hospital, Indiana Hospital Association and Deaconess Health System.

Last night’s 5 O’Clock Network at Turtle Run Winery was filled with great conversations, new connections, and plenty to celebrate as we recognized 25 incredible years of Turtle Run Winery! 🎉🍇

For 25 years, Turtle Run has been growing, creating, and welcoming people right here in Harrison County, and we’re incredibly fortunate to have a destination like this in our own backyard. Businesses like Turtle Run are part of what makes our community such a special place to live, work, visit, and do business.
