***Upcoming Road Closure***

Our contractor, C & R Construction, will be closing St John's Church Rd on or after Monday, July 6, 2026 for a project to replace the superstructure of BR #43. The closure is on the section of St John's Church Rd between Black Creek Rd and Hess Jawtak Rd and is confined to the immediate area of the bridge. We expect the project to take up to 90 calendar days and for the road to be back open by Saturday, October 3, 2026. If you travel St Johns Church Rd please take this into account as you plan your travel.

***Upcoming Road Closure***

Rehobeth Rd between North Rehobeth Rd and Old Dam 43 Rd will be closed for culvert repairs beginning Monday June, 22nd. We expect the repairs to be completed and the road reopened to traffic by Friday, June 26th.

This work will only affect the gravel section of this roadway. Access on the paved section near Old Dam 43 Rd will not be affected.

Our longest serving employee, Glen Bube, is retiring in July. Glen began working at the Highway Department in 1980. He has served in many different positions and has been our Superintendent of the Highway Department since 1999. Glen's retirement after 46 years will leave a huge void in our department. Glen isn't on Facebook, but we invite you to leave a note for him in the comments below and then we plan to include these notes in a memory book we plan to give him at his retirement celebration.

Please PLEASE do not move barricades we have placed in the road. There are areas where the road has washed out under the pavement and we are barricading it for safety reasons, not just high water. When you move our barricades it could result in you or someone else driving into a hole that you may not easily see.

***Up-Coming Road Closure***

Pumping Station Rd between Rogers Campground Rd and Smith Campground Rd will be closed to traffic during the day Monday, June 8th, 2026 for a culvert replacement. The closure is planned to begin at 8:00 a.m. and we plan to have the road back open by 4:00 p.m. if we have bad weather, the closure could be delayed to the next day with good weather. Please take this into account as you plan your travel next week.

Our contractor, C & R Construction, will continue paving work to resurface county roads next week. Their anticipated schedule for next week is:

6/1: Walk Dr
6/2: Mayden Trail Rd

Mayden Trail will be the last remaining road on our contract, so this will complete the work for this contract.

This work is weather dependent, so if it rains these dates will be adjusted.

Please be mindful of this work if you will be traveling these roads next week. Please slow down and keep it safe for the workers taking care of your roads!

**River Rd**

River Rd between the Town of Mauckport and Wesley Chapel Rd will be closed on or after Wednesday, June 3 for a culvert replacement. We expect the closure to last one day.

If you use this stretch of River Rd please plan accordingly.

Our contractor, C & R Construction, will continue paving work to resurface county roads next week. Their anticipated schedule for next week is:

5/25: Memorial Day - No Paving
5/26: No Paving
5/27: Grange Hall Rd
5/28: Grange Hall Rd
5/29: Walk Dr

This work is weather dependent, so if it rains these dates will be adjusted. The forecast as it now stands does not look very positive for paving work.

Please be mindful of this work if you will be traveling these roads next week. Please slow down and keep it safe for the workers taking care of your roads!
