A reminder that all property owners who operate short-term rentals in Sevier County outside of city limits have until June 30th, 2024, to submit their applications for the short-term rental unit program.

The STRU Inspection Program was established to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and visitors in Sevier County. Inspections will focus on fire safety, building code compliance, and general occupancy standards.

***For Immediate Release***

At 2:48PM the Waldens Creek Fire Department was dispatched auto-aid with the City of Pigeon Forge Fire Department, Sevierville Fire Department, and Gatlinburg Fire Department to a confirmed structure fire in Pigeon Forge on Cherokee Valley. WCFD, PFFD, SFD units arrived, along with County Ambulance Service, and the Pigeon Forge Police Department to find a structure with smoke showing and a fire in the attic.

First crews arrived in less than 5 minutes from the initial dispatch and cleared the structure of potential occupants and extinguished the fire. There were no injuries and the structure sustained minor damage.

This quick response was a direct result of the partnership between your city and county fire departments.
