COMMUNITY PSA: Relay for America Coming Through Coshocton
The Relay for America is expected to pass through Coshocton County on Wednesday morning, July 1, 2026,
as part of a nationwide journey carrying a single American flag across the United States.
Relay for America is a nonpartisan effort with one simple goal: to unite Americans one mile at a time.
Volunteers are carrying one American flag on foot, runner to runner, 24 hours a day, across the country to the National Mall in Washington, D.C.,
where it will arrive in time for our nation’s 250th anniversary celebration on July 4, 2026.
As the relay travels through Coshocton County, Sheriff Chris Walters will provide an es**rt along with our local Fire companies, and Mayor Mark Mills will participate in welcoming the relay to our community.
The anticipated route through the area is:
Through Roscoe Village to Whitewoman Street.
Chestnut Street through the City and heading to Old 16 to West Lafayette.
Community members are encouraged to come out along the route to welcome the flag as it passes.
Anyone who would like to show their support is invited to cheer on the participants and bring a flag to wave as they pass by.

Join us Monday, May 25th at 10:00 am for the Memorial Day Parade down Main St, followed by the ceremony on the court square.

The office will be closed for business on Memorial Day.
