October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

This month, we recognize survivors, honor their strength, and remind our community that everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and respected in their relationships and homes.

Domestic violence can affect individuals and families in many ways, and its impact can extend to children long after a moment of violence has passed. Supporting survivors and strengthening families means creating communities where people feel safe reaching out for help, accessing resources, and knowing they are not alone.

This October, let’s listen without judgment, support without blame, and continue working together to build safer, stronger families and communities.

Caring for others can be deeply meaningful — but it can also take a toll on us. When we support trauma-impacted children, families, and communities, our own nervous systems are part of the work, too.

Join us for an engaging and practical conversation about burnout, compassion fatigue, stress, and the science behind caring for ourselves while continuing to care for others.

Together, we’ll explore:

🌿How to recognize when you or someone you care about may be running on empty
🌿Practical ways to respond to stress and prevent depletion
