Late night training at cottonwood rescue. There are skills that must be practiced in a controlled environment so that they can be accomplished when it truly matters. Stephanie is seen in this picture going over her intubation skills. Intubation is a skill performed by a paramedic for maintaining complete control of the airway during critical incidents. Stephanie is in paramedic school and instead of going to bed early decided it was more important to train. Thank you for all that you do.

Congratulations to Benjamin McCardle . Ben recently passed his Advanced Emt national Registry. Ben is employed part time at Cottonwood Rescue and is a full time certified firefighter with Dothan Fire Dept. Ben was also recognized today at the Dothan commission meeting as Dfd Emt of the year. Congratulations on both accomplishments to better provide for your community.

Congratulations to Aaron Money for passing his advanced Emt recently. Aaron currently works for Ashford Rescue as well as Cottonwood Rescue. This level up will allow him to provide a higher level of emergency care for his community.

At approximately 6:00 this evening Cottonwood Rescue along with other agencies were dispatched emergency critical to am Mvc at the intersection of Willie varnum and fletcher smith rd. Upon arrival one vehicle was still occupied and that vehicle had sustained major damage. The driver was trapped and pinned inside. During the extraction process the patient was determined to be a trauma alert and treatment was performed during the extrication process. multiple patients were transported to a local hospital where a trauma team was waiting on the most severe. Cottonwood Rescue responded with two ambulances when off duty members came to assist the on duty crew. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the ones involved in this incident. Great job to all who responded.
