As Phase One of the fire station renovation project continues to move forward, construction activities are transitioning to the front of the building. Upcoming work includes completing the apparatus bays, pouring the new front apron, and beginning landscaping.

To safely complete this work, the construction fence has been temporarily extended toward the street, as outlined in the accompanying graphic. The graphic also identifies a temporary change to the sidewalk route so residents can safely continue walking along High Street.

Please use caution when traveling through the area and follow all posted signs and pedestrian directions. We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as this important project continues.

It’s community hero storytime this morning with our favorite Cotuit Fire Dept. !!

Parking is a bit limited because we have a real life fire truck here today. We suggest parking on School St or carpooling.

Additionally, the parking lot will close today at 1pm to prepare for our annual Co****le tournament. The library will be open for library services until 4:30.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend and enjoyed celebrating at the Cotuit Parade! It was great to see so many friends, neighbors, and visitors out enjoying everything that makes our village special.

Now that the holiday weekend is behind us, work on the Cotuit Fire Station Addition & Renovation Project is back in full swing.

Over the past several weeks, the project has reached another exciting milestone. The roof sheathing on the new apparatus bays has been completed, giving the addition its full shape and bringing us another step closer to a weather-tight building. Crews continue making steady progress on exterior framing and sheathing while work also advances inside the existing station.

With the structure taking shape, you can really begin to see how the new addition will blend with the existing fire station while providing the modern facilities needed to serve Cotuit for generations to come.

We appreciate the continued patience and support of our residents, and neighbors throughout construction. Your understanding during this project allows us to continue providing emergency services while building a station that will better serve our community for decades ahead.

Our previous post incorrectly listed the date of the Cotuit Fourth of July Parade. We apologize for the error and appreciate those who brought it to our attention.
The Cotuit Fourth of July Parade will be held on Saturday, July 4, with the parade stepping off at 11:00 AM.

The Cotuit Fire Department is excited to once again participate in the Cotuit Fourth of July Parade! We look forward to celebrating this long-standing tradition with our residents and visitors as the parade steps off at 11:00 AM.

Please note that there are changes to the parade route this year. We encourage everyone planning to attend to review the updated route on the Cotuit Civic Association website before heading out.

As work continues on our new fire station, we'd also like to share that construction activities will not take place on Friday, July 3, allowing the village to enjoy a quieter and safer long holiday weekend.

We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Independence Day. Whether you're attending the parade, spending time with family and friends, or enjoying all that Cotuit has to offer, please celebrate responsibly.

If you were in the area today, you may have noticed a crane on site at the fire station construction project. The crane was used to lift and place HVAC equipment onto the new addition, marking another important milestone in the project.

Construction continues to move forward steadily, and the new steel building is nearing the point of becoming weather-tight. Each week brings visible progress as crews work to complete the exterior and begin transitioning to interior work.

As we move into the busy summer season in Cotuit, we remain committed to minimizing disruptions to residents, visitors, and local businesses while construction continues. We greatly appreciate the Village's patience, understanding, and continued support throughout this project.

Chief Brown and Deputy Clark would like to extend a sincere thank you to Chloe Renee Creations for the beautiful custom mugs they recently received.

Chloe, who is Deputy Clark's niece, is an inspiration in her own right. As she describes herself, she is a "horse lover, cancer survivor & craft maker." Even more impressive, Chloe donates a portion of every sale to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as a way of giving back for the care and support she received during her own journey.

Chief Brown and Deputy Clark are truly honored to receive these thoughtful gifts and are grateful for the time, talent, and generosity that went into creating them.

Construction of the new apparatus bays at Cotuit Fire continues to move forward with major progress now visible at the site.

The structural steel for the new bays has been erected, and work is actively underway as we move into the next phase of construction.

At the same time, framing of the new living quarters is nearing completion, marking another important milestone in the project.

This project represents a significant investment in the future of emergency services for the Village of Cotuit, helping ensure our firefighters have the space, facilities, and resources needed to continue serving the community for decades to come.

We appreciate the continued patience and support from our neighbors and the community as construction progresses.
