Volunteers Needed for a One-of-a-Kind Experience in Potter County!

The America250 Mobile Unit Experience will be making a special stop at the Potter County Outdoor Show on Saturday, May 16, and organizers are currently looking for volunteers to help make this event a success!

A minimum of four volunteers per shift is needed to safely and effectively operate the Mobile Unit during the event. This is a unique opportunity to be part of something memorable right here in Potter County.

Important to note: This will be the Mobile Unit’s ONLY stop in Potter County, and after July 4, 2026, the unit will no longer travel throughout the Commonwealth!

We have been made aware of a social media post circulating that includes an AI-generated image appearing to be an official letter regarding a proposed Starbucks project and zoning changes in Coudersport Borough.

We want to clarify that this information is false. Coudersport Borough has confirmed and the Commissioners can also confirm that there has been no collaboration or project to bring a Starbucks to the area, nor have there been any zoning amendments for such a purpose.

We encourage the public to verify information before sharing or relying on it. While this may have been intended as a harmless April Fools joke, it can create confusion and has real impacts on our offices and staff.

We respectfully ask that the original post be removed to prevent further misunderstanding.
