When was the last time you thought about your public library?
Was it the last time you signed up for Summer Reading and got a prize in 6th grade?
Was it when you needed to get a book for school?
Was it when you joined a book club (but didn’t read the book because, well, life happened)?
We are the Council Bluffs Public Library Foundation, and we want you to think about the library now! The Council Bluffs Public Library is a community hub for creators, learners, entrepreneurs, readers, makers, and crafters. It’s a place where you can check out a book, sure, but you can also:
Learn a new skill (or dust off an old hobby)
See your favorite author talk about their writing process
Check out more than just books – like passes to local attractions, art for your walls, ghost hunting kits, backyard movie kits, and MORE
Visit the Makerspace and use their equipment
…and so much more!
If you care about equal access, lifelong learning, and building a community where everyone has the tools to thrive, you’ll find it at the library!
Even if you haven’t used your library card (or never got one), this is a space that belongs to all of us. Come check it out.
(Like this photo? It was taken by Buck Christensen, who donated this incredible photo of the Library - among many others- in honor of his grandmother Betty Majeski, who was also a librarian and a supporter of libraries.)
