Tonight (Friday) we have a volunteer opportunity at Vincent Bluff State Preserve, a hidden gem in the middle of Council Bluffs (Prairie Seed Harvest - Vincent Bluff State Preserve)

Monday we'll be at Folsom Point Preserve, managed by The Nature Conservancy in Iowa, just south of Council Bluffs (Prairie Seed Harvest - Folsom Point Preserve).

The hand-harvested seed will be used for prairie restoration and reconstruction projects in the Loess Hills. Several more volunteer opportunities are coming up throughout October.

No experience is needed to volunteer, and all ages are welcome. Seed harvesting does require walking on steep and rough terrain, so please plan and dress accordingly.

Full details are at https://www.goldenhillsrcd.org/prairieseed.html
