Soldiers assigned to 1st Battalion, 168th Infantry Division, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, Iowa Army National Guard compete in a "Soldier of the Month" board for the month of September.

Please join us in extending our congratulations to Sgt. Ryan Schlotfeldt for having placed 2nd during the Non-Commissioned Officer of the Month board, and Spc. Mitchell Nicholas on his well-deserved recognition as Soldier of the Month, earned through successfully navigating a series of demanding evaluations that assessed physical and mental fortitude, as well as fundamental military proficiency.

🚨📢 Soldiers assigned to Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 168th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, Iowa Army National Guard earn their right shoulder sleeve insignia, or combat patch, in September, 2025 in the US Central Command area of responsibility.

This patch serves as a symbol of pride and accomplishment, symbolizing shared experiences in hostile conditions and linking the soldier to the legacy of those who served in the same unit before them.
