🎉BIG NEWS FOR THE City of Council Grove!🎉
Governor Laura Kelly and the Kansas Department of Transportation announced today that the City of Council Grove has been awarded $1,323,000 through KDOT’s Transportation Alternatives Program for Phase 2 of our Safe Routes to School project!
Council Grove is one of just 33 projects selected statewide to receive funding during this round, which awarded more than $37 million to communities across Kansas.
The Transportation Alternatives Program supports projects that improve safety, accessibility, and connectivity for people walking, biking, and traveling throughout their communities.
This $1.323 million investment in Council Grove will allow us to continue building on the work begun through Phase 1 of Safe Routes to School and create safer, more accessible routes for our students and community.
We are incredibly excited to see this project continue moving forward and grateful for this significant investment in Council Grove!
