Day 2 was packed with preparation, courtroom strategy, and learning from experienced legal professionals. ⚖️

From witness preparation to attorney coaching, every exercise helped our interns build confidence, sharpen their public speaking, and experience what it's really like to work in the legal field.

🧠 Lunch & Learn: Your Brain at Work

The Lyons Township Mental Health Commission is bringing back its Lunch & Learn series, featuring speakers from NAMI Metro Suburban!

Join us on Thursday, September 10, from 12:00–1:00 PM for “Your Brain at Work,” an educational program designed to help us better understand what happens in our brains during stressful situations.

Why is it harder to focus when we're under pressure? How does stress affect the way we communicate? And what can we do to stay calm, think clearly, and respond rather than react?

This presentation will introduce simple, brain-based strategies that can be used in everyday, real-world situations. Participants will leave with practical and relatable tools they can put to use right away.

Take some time to relax, recharge, and enjoy the soothing power of sound and vibration. 🎶

Instructor Gail Morales is ready with her beautiful collection of instruments, including singing bowls, chimes, and more, to create a peaceful and calming experience.
