Your ESD10 firefighters were dispatched today to a structure fire within the City of Coupland. Thanks to having the station staffed, crews arrived on scene in just 3 minutes and 11 seconds, allowing for a rapid initial attack.

Due to the extreme heat and the demanding workload, additional resources were requested to assist. Crews made a quick stop on the fire, but unfortunately the home did sustain significant damage.

Most importantly, everyone made it out safely, and no civilian injuries were reported.

We’d like to extend our sincere appreciation to our mutual aid partners from Bastrop/Travis County ESD No. 1, Hutto Fire Rescue, Pflugerville Fire Department, and Williamson County EMS for their assistance and teamwork. Working together makes all the difference.

Today, our crews conducted training at Thrall High School, focusing on hose deployment, fireground operations, building familiarization, and coordinated response in a large occupancy environment.

Regular training ensures our firefighters are prepared to respond safely and effectively when our community needs us most.

Thank you to Thrall ISD for allowing us to use their facilities.

Train Hard. Stay Ready. Serve Proudly.

When you’re a firefighter—past or present—you’re family. And when we lose one of our own, we all feel that loss deeply.

Cindy Hehmann served our community with dedication and heart for 10 years as a firefighter and first responder with Thrall VFD. Her impact, both on the department and the people she helped, will not be forgotten.

Captain Hehmann continues to serve alongside us at ESD10, and our thoughts and support are with him and the entire family during this difficult time.

We are a better, stronger community because of Cindy’s service.

Huge Shout Out to BS Tire in Thorndale!

During the fire incident on February 27th, in Thrall one of our apparatus experienced a flat tire in the field, which immediately put the unit out of service.

Richard Schneider dropped what he was doing and came straight out to us without hesitation. Thanks to his quick response and expertise, he had us back up and running in no time.

We’re incredibly grateful for businesses like BS Tire that support first responders and our community when it matters most.

Thank you, Richard, for your dedication and outstanding service!
