Big news for Virginia SNAP customers!
New EBT chip cards will begin arriving in the mail this September. Here’s what you need to know:

- New cards are more secure and help to protect your benefits from theft.
- Your balance will transfer automatically once you activate the new card.
- You must activate your new card as soon as it arrives.
- Your current card expires 60 days after your new card is mailed.

Drowning can happen quickly and quietly, even when adults are nearby.

As we approach World Drowning Prevention Day on July 25, VDSS is reminding families, caregivers and communities that water safety is child safety.
