Storytime happens each Thursday at 3:30 at the Round Valley Branch and includes read-a-louds and a craft or activity. Bilingual Storytime happens the first Thursday of the month. The theme for the next bilingual Storytime will be COLORS on August 5th.

La hora del cuento se lleva a cabo todos los jueves a las 3:30 p. m. en la biblioteca de Round Valley e incluye lecturas en voz alta y una manualidad o actividad. La hora del cuento bilingüe se realiza el primer jueves de cada mes. El tema de la próxima sesión bilingüe será «Los colores» y tendrá lugar el 5 de agosto.

Celebrate with some truly wild guests as Conservation Ambassadors’ Wild Things comes to town! Meet rescued animals from around the world and hear their incredible true stories. This free, family-friendly event is sponsored by the Friends of the Round Valley Public Library and happens at 3 PM on Friday, August 7th. Come get up close with some amazing creatures and enjoy a fun, educational experience for all ages!

The Round Valley Branch has a 3D printer. Everything is blue so far. Come to the Circulation Desk on Friday 7/31 at 2:00 pm, and we'll change the filament and start a new print job. Learn about the extruder, build plate, PLA filament, and bed levelling.

The Library will migrate data from the current system to the new system from July 27 through August 4. During this period, some library services will be temporarily unavailable.

During the migration:

Patrons must bring their library card to check out
materials.
The online catalog will be searchable, but information will not be up to date. You will not be able to log into your account or place holds.
New library cards cannot be issued.
Materials cannot be checked in.
Renewals will not be available.
Fines and fees cannot be paid.

Patrons are welcome to keep their checked-out materials until the new system is fully operational.

All services are expected to return to normal on August 5, when our new system and the new online catalog officially go live.

Catawampus! Dulcifluous! Kerfuffle!
Storytime on Thursday is about BIG WORDS and spelling. We will read Big Words for Little Geniuses by Susan and James Patterson, and How do You Spell UNFAIR! by Carol Boston Weatherford.
After we read, children will be challenged with a BIG WORD scavenger hunt inside the library. Big kids will be challenged to a scavenger hunt using dictionaries.
