Top 3 Middle School!

Royal Oak Middle School was named a Top 3 Middle School in the San Gabriel Valley Newspaper Group’s Readers’ Choice Awards! This recognition reflects a year filled with creativity, achievement and school pride, from Runner TV earning a state award for Best Music Video, to standout performances in band, choir and drama, undefeated seasons in flag football and boys’ basketball, and student leaders building new traditions through rallies, broadcasts and campus-wide spirit. Congratulations to our Royal Oak students, staff and families for helping make ROMS a place where Runners create, compete, lead and shine. 💙

Top 3 High School!

Charter Oak High School was named a Top 3 High School in the San Gabriel Valley Newspaper Group’s Readers’ Choice Awards! This recognition reflects the strength of our Charger community and the many ways students are learning, leading, competing, performing and preparing for the future.

While no single post could capture everything that makes Charter Oak High School special, this year’s highlights include innovative career pathways, dual credit, AP, IB and AVID opportunities, 2 CIF championships and 7 league titles. Our students also earned major recognition in the arts and career technical education, with our theater program named Best Performing Arts in the San Gabriel Valley and winner of Best Musical at the JRAY Awards, our Marching Regiment ranked No. 1 in the state in its division, and our Sports Medicine Competition Team ranked No. 1 in the nation for medium-sized schools and No. 2 overall.

Beyond the awards, Charter Oak is special because of its culture: students who support one another, staff who go above and beyond, and families who show up with pride. Congratulations to our Chargers, staff and families on this well-deserved recognition. 💙
