Service Alert from Republic Services: Collection services are suspended due to an out-of-market labor disruption that has caused a work stoppage at Republic Services’ operations in King County and Snohomish County. As with inclement weather service delays, Republic Services will collect double garbage, recycling, and organic materials on your next regularly scheduled service day at no additional charge. Join us for a bubbly good time at our first Park Pop Up of the season! Our crew will be at Covington Community Park tomorrow, Tuesday, June 24 from 10 a.m.-Noon with the giant bubble station! Kiddos can make massive bubbles with giant wands, join in the bubble dance party and have a good ole time. This is event is free! Participants must be supervised by a guardian, sorry no drop-offs.

Stop by the concessions stand starting at 11 a.m. to snag a free lanyard to participate in the FREE Ready Set Play program this summer, too! Learn more at www.covingtonwa.gov/readysetplay

The city of Covington and its youth council recently partnered with Kentwood High School to change the name of the street leading into the school off of 164th Avenue to "Conqueror Avenue." Members of the community are invited to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony for the sign on Tuesday, June 17, at 5:00 p.m. We hope to see you there!
