Celebrate America's 250th birthday by making a difference in your community!

Join Northshore Food Bank's 250 for 250 Food Drive and help keep shelves stocked during the summer months by collecting 250 items or pounds of food.

Whether it's your office, church, school, neighborhood, or family, every donation helps provide food assistance for local families.

Summer donations tend to slow down. Together, we can make sure support doesn't.

Summer Stock is officially underway!

Throughout the summer months, children on participant accounts receive nutritious, kid friendly food items to help households navigate the added food costs that come with summer. Each color coded backpack contains a different assortment of foods, allowing children to receive a variety of items throughout the summer.

Thank you to the volunteers from Regions Bank for spending the afternoon helping sort and prepare Summer Stock for distribution.

☀️ June’s most needed items are here!

School may be out, but the need for food assistance doesn’t take a summer break. This month, Northshore Food Bank is in need of canned carrots, cereal, canned spinach, and soup.

Every donated item helps keep pantry shelves stocked for local families across St. Tammany Parish. Thank you for helping feed your neighbors in need 💙

Celebrate Freedom by Feeding Families!

In honor of America’s 250th birthday, Northshore Food Bank is asking 250 people to donate 250 food items to help keep shelves stocked during the summer months when donations tend to slow down.

Host a collection at your office, church, school, neighborhood, or with friends and family!

Collection boxes and bags are available, and pickup can be arranged for larger drives. Donations may also be dropped off at the back of our warehouse on donation days.

Did you get some of our garden produce recently? 🌱

The first Grow to Geaux harvests of the summer season went out to participants last week and again during today’s distribution, including fresh green beans, zucchini, squash, and eggplant straight from the garden!

Tomatoes should be ripe and ready to pick and distribute soon too. 🍅

Thank you to Mrs. Pat from Stelz’s Nursery, along with our wonderful volunteers and staff, for helping care for the Grow to Geaux Garden and making it possible for participants to enjoy fresh, healthy produce grown right here in our community.

One of our favorite end of year traditions! 🥣

Thank you to the students and staff at Magnolia Trace Elementary School for collecting 386 boxes of cereal for Northshore Food Bank through their annual cereal drive!

From colorful cereal box domino lines down the hallway to smiling students excited to give back, this tradition is always so much fun!

Cereal is one of the most requested breakfast items at the Food Bank, and these donations will help keep shelves stocked for local families throughout the summer months. Thank you again for your continued support!

Northshore Food Bank recently hosted the first session of Nourishing the Northshore, our new quarterly participant education series focused on nutrition, health, and wellness.

Attendees heard from Dr. Maria Roberts, watched a live cooking demonstration, sampled a healthy taco bowl recipe, and received meal kits to take home.

Thank you to our partners at St. Tammany Health System, Eat Fit Ochsner, Healthier Northshore, and American Heart Association - Louisiana’s Healthy for Good initiative for helping make this first session such a success. We are excited to continue growing this series throughout the year!

What an incredible day on the course! ⛳️☀️

A little over a week later, and we are still feeling so grateful after our 24th Annual Golf Tournament!

Thank you to POOLCORP for once again joining in as our Title Sponsor, and thank you to every sponsor, golfer, volunteer, donor, and friend who helped make this year’s tournament our most successful golf tournament yet. It takes a dedicated team working together behind the scenes to pull off a day like this!

A special thank you as well to AQUASALT for their continued support as a Major Sponsor, Loft18 Mandeville as our Player Gift Sponsor, Netchex for serving as our Course Sponsor, and Rheem as our 19th Hole Sponsor.

Fundraisers like this help make it possible for Northshore Food Bank to continue serving neighbors across St. Tammany Parish who rely on us throughout the year.

Thank you for supporting Northshore Food Bank and helping provide food assistance right here in our community.
