We are incredibly grateful to 7 Hills Church and their Heart the City volunteers for spending the day at our Elsmere Head Start Center. Their team worked tirelessly to clean and refresh both the building and playground, creating a brighter, safer, and more welcoming environment for our children and families. Their hard work, generosity, and commitment to serving the community made a lasting impact. Thank you, 7 Hills Church, for helping us ensure our Head Start students have a beautiful space to learn, play, and grow!

The CCC Parent Committee provides parents and caregivers with a voice in shaping programs and services that support children and families in our community. Through regular meetings, members share ideas, discuss challenges, and collaborate with schools and community partners to improve outcomes for children. NKCAC’s Community Collaboration for Children (CCC) program helps strengthen families and communities by focusing on prevention, support, and collaboration. Through this program, we:
• Coordinate a regional network of community partners working together to address the impact of child abuse and trauma.
• Facilitate Parent Engagement Meetings that bring parents and school officials together to address chronic absenteeism and improve student success.
• Provide in-home support services to help families navigate the challenges of parenting and build stronger, healthier relationships.

NKCAC is proud to be attending the Community Action Kentucky Annual Training. This year’s theme, “Pathway to Possibilities,” is a powerful reflection of the work being done across our communities every day. It has been inspiring to hear stories of resilience and transformation; individuals overcoming adversity, finding strength in difficult circumstances, and moving from homelessness to stable housing. These stories remind us of the lasting impact Community Action programs have on the lives of the individuals and families we serve.

As we close out another successful Head Start school year, NKCAC was thrilled to celebrate with our annual End-of-Year Picnic today at Pioneer Park in Covington. We truly could not have asked for a more beautiful day to bring together our Head Start families, staff, and the community for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and celebration.
Children enjoyed bounce houses, obstacle courses, train rides, the petting zoo, games, Kona Ice, and countless opportunities to make lasting memories with their friends and families.
Events like this remind us that Head Start is about so much more than education; it's about building strong families, creating meaningful connections, and fostering a supportive community where children can thrive. The smiles, laughter, and excitement seen throughout the day were a testament to the strong partnerships that make our program so special.
