🫧 Bubble Bash is HERE! 🫧

The City of Covington's Park Pop-Up series kicks off today with Bubble Bash at Town Center Lawn from 10 a.m. to noon.

Families are invited to make giant bubbles, enjoy outdoor fun and celebrate the start of a summer full of free activities in Covington parks.

It will be a beautiful night to look at the stars. We are having a Star Party tonight June 19th where you can come explore the wonders of the universe! Start with an Introduction to Astronomy class in the Covington Community Room (new temporary location this week only), where you'll learn the basics of stargazing, planets, constellations, and more.
Then, as the sun goes down, head to the park for our Star Party, where members of the Seattle Astronomical Society be ready to help you explore the night sky. Whether you're a seasoned space enthusiast or simply curious about what's above us, this is a unique opportunity to see the stars, planets, and celestial objects through the eyes of local astronomy experts.

Inclement cloudy weather will likely cause cancellation of the star party. Cancellation notifications will be posted on the Seattle Astronomical Society website at www.seattleastro.org.

Join us on Saturday, June 20th from 4pm-6pm for our Summer Splashtacular event at the Covington Aquatic Center!

Kick the summer off with a fun filled, free event to educate on water safety and enjoy a free public swim afterwards!
Hour 1 (4:00pm-5:00pm) Water Safety Stations
Hour 2 (5:00pm-6:00pm) Free Public Swim
*To participate in the free public swim, you must participate in safety stations.

Join us for a magical afternoon at the Princess & Superhero Meet and Greet on Wednesday, June 24, from 12:00–2:00 PM at Covington Community Park!

This free community event is a wonderful opportunity for kids to step into a world of imagination, adventure, and fun. Costumes are encouraged but not required. Bring your camera and get ready for an unforgettable afternoon with some of your favorite characters.

Celebrate Juneteenth with us on Friday, June 19th for an extra public swim at the Covington Aquatic Center from 4-5pm!

UPDATE: We will be closed for the remainder of the day 6/16/26 and plan on reopening tomorrow morning. All swimming lessons for tonight have been cancelled. Please be aware that when we reopen on Wednesday, June 17th, showers may be cooler temperature than normal.

The Covington Aquatic Center will be closed until 4pm due to an unexpected mechanical repair. We appreciate your support and encourage you to check this page for updates.

Last Call for Kentwood Track Camp!
Did your kid just wrap up track season and crush it at the district-wide meet! Looking for a fun, active way to keep your kids moving this summer? Whether your child just competed OR is curious to try track for the very first time, Kentwood Track Camp is the place to be this summer. Kids will make friends, learn the fundamentals and discover how fun track & field really is!
