Covington Parks and Recreation is responsible for the management and programming of all recreational green space within the City, which includes 30 facilities and approximately 990 acres of parkland and open space. Covington Parks and Recreation also facilitates programs and events to engage the community with its green space assets in order to promote a sense of community, encourage interaction w

ith the outdoors, and promote a healthy and active way of life. Covington’s many recreational amenities encourage outdoor activity and healthy living. Residents and visitors have plenty of options to choose from, ranging from the 700+ acre Devou Park, which boasts a golf course, bandshell, and trails, to a wonderful host of small neighborhood parks scattered throughout the city, with picnic shelters, basketball courts, and ball fields.

Calling all little farmers (ages 0–6) 🚜🐄

Join us for Read Ready Covington Early Childhood Fun Fest on June 12 from 4–7PM at the David Housley Pavilion in Randolph Park

This FREE event is designed just for families with young children and will feature hands-on activities, a petting zoo, and a chance to connect with local community resources.

Join us for Opening Day on Saturday, June 6 as we kick off pool season the right way!

We’ll have sno cones, sunshine, and plenty of ways to cool off while we celebrate the start of summer 🍧🌊

⚽️ That’s a wrap on our Soccer Clinic! ⚽️

We had such a great time watching these young players learn, grow, and have fun each week. We’re so bummed we didn’t get to have our final clinic this past Saturday due to the weather.

If you haven’t already reached out, please contact us to schedule a time to pick up your bags and goodies—we want to make sure everyone gets theirs!

Huge shoutout to all of our amazing soccer families for being part of the very first Covington Soccer League! ⚽💙

We officially wrapped up the season this past Sunday, and what a fun ride it’s been—from first kicks to final goals! The energy, teamwork, and smiles each week made this season something really special.

Thank you to all of our players and parents for showing up, cheering loud, and making this league such a success. We can’t wait to see you back out on the field next season!

🌱 Join Covington Parks & Recreation for the Covington Native Plant Giveaway on Monday, May 18, from 6–7:30 p.m. at Austinburg Neighborhood Park!

In partnership with Groundwork Ohio River Valley and Keep Covington Beautiful, this free community event is all about supporting pollinators, beautifying our neighborhoods, and helping residents learn more about native plants and sustainable gardening.

Attendees can:
• Pick up FREE native plants
• Learn about pollinators and local ecosystems
• Connect with organizations creating greener, healthier communities
• Get planting guidance and gardening tips from Groundwork ORV staff

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just getting started, everyone is welcome!
