WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!!
Here are a few back to school safety tips,
Students remember to give yourself some extra time these first few days. If you need help finding your classroom, come find your SRO. He is there for you.

If, you are walking, biking, or getting dropped off, keep your head up and watch out for each other and parents take it easy in those speed zones.

If you see or hear something that doesn’t feel right, tell a teacher or see your SRO.

Look out for your friends. A great school year starts with you looking out for each other.
Being smart and kind counts online too!
If you see your SRO in the hallway, go say hi. You don’t need to have a problem or an emergency to talk.

Officer McNeil is excited to be back for YOU, have a safe and fun year!

New Classes…
New Teachers…
New Friends…
New Opportunities…
And plenty to look forward to…
Have a great year Covington and the Upper Valley Career Center!

School is going to start soon. Keep in mind that Chestnut, in front of school property, is now a 20 MPH school zone. Driving the speed limit through a school zone is safe. Slowing down even more when you see kids near crosswalks is even safer. Staying completely distraction-free during school drop-off and pickup is a must. Kids buckled in after pick-up or until drop off is the law. Phones down heads up!

Parents, keep your child safe. Injuries from E-Bikes and E-Scooters are climbing as reported by emergency rooms across the country. WEAR A HELMET, head injuries are preventable.

The main question the village is asked these days is when State Route 36 is going to open. Sidewalks are currently being prepared to pour. The cement work has to be completed before the laying of asphalt. Your patience has been very much appreciated and hopefully this project will be completed very soon.
