The suspected remains of George Stevens were located today, July 28, 2026, at 4:49 p.m. in a rural area outside of Franklinton.

The investigation is ongoing.

Be on the lookout!

Deputies are asking the public to be on the lookout for George Stevens.

He was last seen yesterday, July 26, 2026, at his home off of East Fairgrounds Road in Franklinton.

Stevens left in his 2006 blue Chevrolet pick-up truck around 9 a.m. The license plate is C904849.

Stevens is described as a white male with grey hair. He has brown eyes, stands five feet ten inches tall and weighs 265 pounds.
