New investment ahead for Hwy 278 CID

Strong Economic Development in the county, along with the Highway 278 CID is causing new capital investment. Watch the old ”Shoneys” and more recently the ”Covington Diner” be re-developed.

While this is not the Highway 278 CID corridor we want to be mindful of all our roads around us!
This week, weather permitting, 142 will begin changing lanes to utilize the new roads! Be alert when this shift happens!

We are excited about the formal announcement released today.
The new Avid hotel will be a wonderful addition to our community and a continuation of great new businesses to come!

Covington Hotel Group LLC announced 93 new rooms for visitors to stay locally with Avid Hotel starting development. The hotel is slated to open in the second quarter of 2020.
