As we prepare for Domestic Abuse Awareness Month this October; a grime reminder that domestic (or intimate partner) abuse is the leading cause of injuries in women ages 15-44 in the US. This is more than car-jacking & r**e combined.
We all must show support to survivors & victims by installing a purple light in your front porch .

I’m so happy to announce another partner in Woodstock, New Brunswick Canada who has some great plans for a PLN kick off event!!! Music, government official speakers, purple glow sticks and a tree lighting👍👏🏻. What a great way to bring awareness to this issue and help victims feel ready to seek help. Wishing you great success

One of the greatest risks for children witnessing DV is that they may learn to use violence themselves. Without an effective model for problem solving and conflict management, Children may believe that violence solves problems or accept violence as normal.

Happy to announce that Transition House in Hope, BC will be holding another PLN campaign along with a fundraiser to raise money for their organization.
Unity Point in Peoria IL are working on holding their first PLN Campaign to bring awareness to domestic abuse
