Need some prayer warriors for our brothers and sister of Twin Lakes Fire Department. They’re located in far west Logan County, just south of Crescent. We’ve just heard their station is on fire. Several departments in the county are working this fire as we speak. Take a moment to remeber them in your thoughts this evening. They’re gonna need lots of support.

We’re here for you Twin Lakes. 🙏🏼

Water Line Break Repair
Tomorrow starting Thursday, 12/10/20, 9:00 A.M.
The area south of High Street along Iowa will have their water turned off at 9:00, Thursday morning to repair a water leak. The leak has been uncovered and hopefully, the repair will be finished before 5:00. We will also try to isolate the leak and only turn off the water in the area so the whole town doesn’t need to be without water. If the line can’t be isolated, we will need to turn the water off to all of Town and will send out another message tomorrow morning.
For those south of High, it is recommended that you save water in your bathtub or another container to use to flush if you are going to be home during this time.

FYI - I just learned
If anyone's Power is still out due to the 2020 icestorm can call 2-1-1 today and ask for a hotel voucher (OGE donated a lot of money and purchased several hundred hotel rooms) and food vouchers. All you have to do is have electric service in your name. They will take your info and call you back. When they call back they will give you a location to go to downtown to verify your oge bill and pick up the voucher. No credit card needed. Don't know how long this will last but please pass on.

A real important post from Tulsa Fire Department!

Can You See your house numbers/address on your mailbox/house?

When you’ve lived at the same address for a number of years, you rarely pay any attention to your house numbers (address).

For Fire, Police, and EMS that may be responding to your house in the event of an emergency, your house numbers are what they are looking for.

Make it a priority, to LOOK at your house numbers to see if:

-All of the numbers are still there
-They are large enough to be seen from the street
-Any landscape vegetation has grown over them limiting visibility

If you can see them, So can we...Thank You!

If not, then we can’t either. Please take steps today so we can find you should you need us tomorrow.

Guthrie Fire - EMS

Merry Christmas Eve to everyone. Great work by everyone involved today on a large grass fire NE of town. Conditions were ripe for this fire to take off. Before being brought under control, it consumed approximately 245 acres, including numerous round bales of hay and damaged several areas of fence. We celebrated the holiday alongside our brothers and sisters from Coyle Volunteer Fire Department, Langston City Fire Department, Orlando Volunteer Fire Department, Woodcrest Fire Department, Sooner Fire Department, Oak Cliff Fire Department, Perkins Fire Department, Stillwater Fire Department, Mulhall Fire Department, Meridian Fire Department and our friends at Logan County Red Cross who provided us with much appreciated refreshments! (Special thanks to Chris Nivens for the drone pictures)
