The Patriot Guard Riders will be here at the City of Crab Orchard, Wednesday, August 12th, 2026 at 5:30 pm to replace our POW flag in our Veterans Park behind city hall. Everyone is welcome to attend and encouraged to do so. This is a very moving ceremony, and we are always honored to have this special group of men and women to take time out of their busy schedules to stop in and perform this ceremony for us.

ATTENTON CRAB ORCHARD WATER CUSTOMERS....
The water bills were late being sent out and calculated this month due to the changing out with the new meters as not all has been changed out as of yet, but we are still working on this tedious process.
So having said that the water bills have been calculated and finally mailed today. Please expect to start receiving them in the mail the next couple of days. As always, you can contact us at 606-355-2319 to get your bill amount. Again, we are sorry for this inconvenience but please bear with us during this process.

In observance of Independence Day the City of Crab Orchard and Water Dept will be closed, Monday July 6th. We will reopen on Tuesday during normal business hours.

OK due to recent concerns, I have OPENED the pageants and now you DO NOT have to live in Lincoln County, nor do you have to attend a school in Lincoln County. So, anyone can enter the pageant, and I have extended the deadline until tomorrow, Friday July 3rd at 2:00 pm.

Age Groups
Mini- 2 years old.
Tiny Tots- 3-5 years old
Little Miss- 6-8 years old
Pre-Teen- 9-12 years old
Miss Crab Orchard 13-17 years old
Deadline for entry is Friday, July 2nd, 2:00 pm.

We are repairing a main water break at this moment, and we will
be shutting off our connection to Stanford as they are low on water and can't supply our system. So, for the next 2 hours or so our water will be shut off to make the necessary repairs, so please
try to prepare as best as you can. Again, we are very sorry for this inconvenience, and we are working as diligently as possible to resolve these issues.

Attention Crab Orchard Water Customers. We experienced another water main break yesterday afternoon and we have issued a Boil Water Advisory for the entire water system to include those customers inside city limits as well. Please remember to boil your water at least 2 mins prior to drinking and or cooking,

All, we have just been made aware that we have no to little water pressure on the entire system. We have notified our water operators, and they are out now trying to locate the issue. Please be patient as we realize there is a problem and we are diligently working to make the repairs.
