Crafton Borough Police Department The Crafton Borough Police Department has a staff of 9 full time Officers and a part time secretary which serves the Boroughs of Crafton and Thornburg.

Traffic Alert

There was a minor traffic accident in the 100 block of Hawthorne Ave. There were no injuries but a telephone pole was damaged and had to be taken down.

Duquesne Light is on scene. There is no danger of anyone losing power at this time.

You will be forced to take make a right onto Manor Street until Duquesne Light is done.

Local residents can access Woodlawn from Hawthorne as needed but the road is closed to through traffic.

National Police Week 2026 is observed from Sunday, May 10 through Saturday, May 16, 2026, with central memorial events taking place in Washington, D.C.. This annual observance pays special recognition to law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. In 2026, the names of 363 fallen officers are being added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.

May 15 (Friday): National Peace Officers Memorial Day. The flagship National Peace Officers' Memorial Service takes place on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol, followed by the "Stand Watch for the Fallen" vigil at the memorial wall from noon to midnight.

The U.S.flag is flown at half-staff for this day to honor all of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice.

We honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice and those who currently serve faithfully each and everyday in this country.

Crafton Police would like to welcome home this young warrior.

16 year old Ollie Blake spent 1 month in Children's Hospital ICU with a brain tumor but courageously has returned home today.

Welcome home Ollie! We are so happy to have you back in Crafton where you belong!

My thanks to the Crafton-Ingram Rotary. We had a tremendous turnout for the fundraiser and I learned alot about plants. It was great meeting so many Crafton residents as well as nearby residents from the area. Its truly an honor to serve as your Chief of Police.
