SAFETY AND TRAFFIC ALERT-POWER LINE DOWN

Clearview @ Harris and portion of the trail is closed. You will see Police caution tape up please avoid that area as there is a power line down resulting from
down tree limb. Call is in to power company but as everyone is aware they have thousands of people with no power. Please do not walk within this area where its closed off with caution tape and avoid touching guard rail.

Traffic is able to move down Harris and onto Clearview. If your a resident in between where cones and caution tape please exit on far side of clearview where cones are placed.

Last Sunday Crafton PD had the opportunity to participate again in the Macy's Shop with a Cop in Robinson Mall.

Macy's in partnership with Allegheny County Camp Cadet provides a $250 dollar gift card. Students get a private back-to-school shopping session with Officers from their local Police Departments.

Sgt. Harvison personally escorted one of our local Crafton Elementary Students and his mother to pick out some great new swag for this school year.

We thank Allegheny County Camp Cadet and Macy's for inviting us again to participate in this great event.

🚧 Construction Update — Belvidere Street

Work is continuing on Belvidere Street! crews will be digging up the right side of Belvidere and placing subbase Wednesday through Thursday (potentially extending into Friday) in preparation for paving next week.

No parking signs will be posted in the work zone. We are asking all residents to please avoid parking in the marked work zone during this period so work can proceed safely and on schedule.

🅿️ Alternate parking is available down at the church parking lot.

We want to avoid having any vehicles towed — your cooperation makes a huge difference and helps us get this project done as quickly as possible.

SCAM ALERT:

We have received reports of residents or business owners receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be from Duquesne Light and claiming your bill needs paid immediately or they will be shutting off your service.

You should always hang up and verify the actual Duquesne Light Customer Service number on your bill or their actual website and call that number yourself to verify your account if needed.

Never call these fake numbers provided or stay on phone with someone demanding you personal information who just claims they are from Duquesne Light or any other utility company that is not how Duquesne Light or any legit utility company operates.

This is a scam and a way of trying to obtain your personal information. Utility companies do not operate like this to collect on delinquent accounts.

Found dog on Lincoln Avenue. Please call the Crafton Police Department at 412-921-2016 if you know the owner.

Crafton Police were made aware earlier today of social media posts regarding concerns over conditions inside the property at 77 W Steuben Street.

While no one is currently living in the home we investigated and verified the whereabouts of all children associated with the address.

All children are confirmed to be in safe and adequate homes.

We will not be commenting further on this due to privacy.

Please remember to report any concerns over the well being of any child to your local Police.
