Morning everyone, First off, I want to extend my sincere congratulations to Meghan Lukens on her victory. Representing House District 26 is a tremendous responsibility, and for the sake of her constituents, I wish her nothing but success in serving our community.
To everyone who supported me, volunteered, and believed in this campaign—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Despite being outspent approximately 30 to 1, we built a grassroots movement that I believe reflected the voices and concerns of Northwest Colorado. This wasn’t the outcome we hoped for, and I know that it is disappointing. Please remember not to lose heart; there are greater plans for all of us, and this particular outcome is part of that journey. I am deeply grateful for the passion, time, and energy each of you invested in our shared vision for the future.
Now, it’s time for all of us to come together and address the pressing economic challenges facing our district. Our communities need strong leadership to tackle the impact of job losses, rising costs, and the energy transition. I look forward to seeing Meghan work on behalf of HD-26 to find real solutions to these issues, and I hope to continue to see support for efforts that strengthen and uplift Northwest Colorado.
Thank you again for your support, your faith, and your friendship. I’m proud of what we tried to accomplish together, and I hope I can be given the opportunity to continue working alongside you to advocate for the needs of our local communities moving forward.
