Date Change: Craigfest Saturday Sept 21st starts at 3pm / One Day Only
Good Morning Everyone
We have a schedule change in our Craigfest this year. The Carnival Manager Skip Renke cancelled our contract for a bigger city contract so we are adjusting our festival schedule. We can't apologize enough for the carnival, but we have no control over people that don't honor their contracts and we hope you understand as we get back up off our feet to plan around this dilemma. We plan on creating a great neighborhood FUN time anyway and we hope you will still come out to enjoy the day with us.
First of all let me say thank you to all the people that had to make changes in their schedules to accommodate this date change, thank you so much for understanding.
Craigfest Saturday Sept 21st starts at 3pm
Here is some of the activities and we will have much more as we get closer to the date: Whole Hog Roast with all the fixings (donation dinner funds will go toward the picnic shelter in the park), Curtis Wayne Stroud and band will be our evening entertainment, activities will include cake walk, bingo, children’s drawing, quilt raffles, melon eating contest, basketball throw, hula hoop contest, tug of war and much, much more. I will continue to post our events as we continue to plan. We hope to have vendors as we always have. We did not have a leader this year to head up the Craig County Parade so sadly that will be missed.
If you made a contribution to the committee and are disappointed (as we are) in the carnival not showing up and would like your contribution returned please "don't hesitate" to call Charmaine (me) and we will be glad to return that donation. Those that have purchased ticketbands your money is being mailed back to you and we apologize for this inconvenience. We know many of you make your contributions based on the expense of the carnival and we understand. But we want to assure you that the money that you donate is being used responsibly to create the best possible community activity known as CraigFest.
