📣 Highland School District: 2026-2028 Supplemental Levy Renewal
Highland Patrons, your support keeps our schools strong! On May 19, 2026, our community will vote on the renewal of our supplemental levy.
This isn't a new tax—it’s a renewal of the existing amount ($599,000/year) for two years to provide our students with the stability and resources they deserve. 🐾
Why is this renewal important?
Despite rising costs for utilities and supplies, state operational funding has remained flat. This levy bridges the gap to ensure:
Student Support: Funding for classified staff and full-day Kindergarten.
Safety & Access: Critical busing to and from school for 56% of our students.
Opportunities: Very high percentages of our students participate in activities like FFA, BPA, Music, and Athletics—this levy keeps those programs running!
