If notorious puppy-killer Dr. Mehmet Oz can interfere in Pennsylvania's politics - so can we.

John Fetterman's race for the Senate is THE critical regional race for New Jersey progressives to go all-in and win in November.

Closer to home - it is important for progressives to help maintain a Democratic majority in the House by defending Tom Malinowski, Mikie Sherrill and Andy Kim for Congress and going on the offense by supporting Tim Alexander for Congress in his quest to unseat treasonous Trumpist traitor Congressman Jeff Van Drew

You can find our endorsements here as well as ways to support each candidate with your volunteer hours and donor dollars!

Jersey City Council Person at Large - Amy Degise is still "at large" after committing a violent hit & run felony by fleeing the scene after crashing her SUV into a local bike delivery worker.

Force the Issue NJ is joining the call for Amy Degise to immediately do the honorable thing and resign from the City Council NOW.

Before Saturday's rally, please join us by taking the following steps:

First, sign the locally organized petition to call upon Amy Degise to resign.

https://www.change.org/p/councilwoman-degise-must-resign-now

Next, donate to support Degise's victim - a local delivery biker - to help him replace his bike, pay the rent and meet his expenses.

We were proud to present the NJ-08 Candidate Forum along with our allies at Good Government Coalition of New Jersey and Progressive Democrats of Hudson County just two weeks ago.

The 2022 Democratic Primary election is just three weeks away!

Hosts Hector Oseguera and John Heinis were joined by progressive Democratic candidates David Ocampo Grajales For Congress and Ane Roseborough for an energetic and in-depth discussion of the issues facing voters in the 2022 Democratic Primary. The third candidate, Bobby Newport, wasn't able to join us :)

Thanks as well to Grace Church Van Vorst for hosting us and Ruchika Muchhala for filming and editing the event, and the great crowd who showed up!

One week from today, we will be hosting a candidate forum for the June 7th Democratic Primary in New Jersey's 8th Congressional District.

With the retirement of current congressman Sires, it's a wide open race and we look forward to a lively discussion moderated by our own Hector Oseguera and John Heinis of the Hudson County View !

All confirmed candidates have been invited, and our friends at the Good Government Coalition of New Jersey and Progressive Democrats of Hudson County have signed on as our co-hosts.

The event will be held at the lovely Grace Church Van Vorst, conveniently located just steps from the Grove Street PATH station.

Between it feeling like year 7 of the pandemic and the sometimes brutal inertia of fighting for progressive change in New Jersey - despair sometimes feels like the activist's constant companion particularly as the year comes to an end.

The nice thing about recapping is how it helps dissipate those feelings.

It's not long before the latest setback becomes a lonely notch in the "lose some" column, dwarfed by all the notches in the "win some" column.

In our year-end recap - in addition to focusing on our own steady progress - we see Governor Murphy's historic re-election, the progress of cannabis legalization, and the abolishing of immigrant detention as three huge wins.

What was your #1 NJ activism, organizing or policy win for 2021?

Let's see how many we can list!

Thank you for your support and a happy new year to you and yours!

Force the Issue NJ Updates   As we near the end of 2021 and the second full year of the COVID-19 global pandemic, it is important to take stock of the previous twelve months and all that we have experienced for better or worse in the past year. However, it is more important to take […]

Tomorrow - December 7th is City Council Run-Off Election Day in Ward C of Jersey City.

FAQ:

Where the hell is Ward C?

Ward C is the Jersey City Council Ward that encompasses 80% of the the south side of Jersey City Heights and basically the entire Journal Square Area. If you live West of the turnpike, north of Montgomery, East of West Side Ave or in the neighborhood of Pershing Field and Resevoir - or points south of there, you are probably a proud resident of Ward C! Check the map below to be sure!

Who should I vote for?

Oh that's a much easier question. If you are an independent minded, progressive or otherwise civic-minded person who cares about safe streets, good government and supporting affordable housing and local businesses - vote for Kevin Bing for Ward C
