Native plants are essential for shorelines because they stabilize soil with deep root systems that reduce erosion, filter runoff to improve water quality, and provide critical habitat for fish, birds, and pollinators.

Once again, we are going to have our Annual Native Plant Sale! Native plants are a great way to attract bird, butterflies, and bees to your property. They can also help to stop erosion and sediment loss on shorelines. Consider planting native plants this summer instead of ornamental plants!

Orders need to be in to our office by Monday, April 6th, so we can get them to our greenhouse. Orders will be available for pick-up on Friday, May 29th 9:00 am โ€“ 3:00 pm on the Forest County Courthouse Square near the army tank.

Our goal is to raise enough funds to sponsor a scholarship or two for the Wisconsin Youth Conservation Camps this summer. There is a middle school camp and a high school camp. If we raise enough funds, keep your eye out for scholarship information to come!

You can get an order form and list of plants at our website as
