Orange Avenue Pool Ribbon Cutting May 26, 2026
New Jersey dignitaries came to celebrate the grand Re-Opening And Ribbon Cutting For The Orange Avenue Pool
From Township of Cranford We are incredibly grateful for the partnership and support that helped make the transformation of the Orange Avenue Pool possible. Thanks to a $750,000 New Jersey State grant and a $125,000 grant from the Union County Kids Recreation Trust Fund, Cranford was able to complete major repairs and renovations at Orange Avenue Pool that will serve our residents for years to come.
This project was truly a team effort — made possible through the dedication of Township staff, contractors, community volunteers, and elected officials who believe in investing in public spaces for families and future generations.
The revitalized pool complex now features upgraded locker rooms and bathrooms, improved lighting, repaired and refinished pool areas, expanded seating with new shade structures, renovated baby pool, resurfaced pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts, repaired and accessible picnic pavilion, added trees landscaping, and drainage, a repaved parking lot with new shade trees, and ADA-accessible improvements including wider walkways, accessible showers and restrooms, picnic tables, handicapped parking and a pool lift.
We are excited to officially unveil these improvements and welcome residents back for an incredible summer season at Orange Avenue Pool. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life and for your continued commitment to the Cranford community.
