Honored to have been asked to do the interment ceremony this morning for Staff Sergeant Mark T. McGrath by his brother Kurt at the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Johnston, Rhode Island. Mark served 18 years in the Army National Guard, rising to Honor Guard and Staff Sergeant. His commitment to service exemplified his sense of duty and leadership—a reflection of his unwavering dedication to both his country and his community.

It was a special afternoon at Spain 🇪🇸 Restaurant as I took my wife Maryann to an intimate dinner 🍽️ for her birthday🎂 . Yes, her birthday 🎂 was back on April 15th, and we had a great time celebrating it in Atlanta with our granddaughter Jordan as we prepared to help her move to Charleston, South Carolina. But today was that extra moment honoring my wife that she deserved and so much more! ❤️

Wonderful day at the JFK Presidential Library & Museum in Boston with my wife Maryann! Such a beautiful location with such interesting displays! Moreover, the staff there couldn’t have been more warm and helpful!
Of particular interest was the Presidential Pets exhibition there highlighting Presidential pets over the years beginning with George Washington until the present.
And finally, there’s the Presidential Passport Program, where if you get stamps from thirteen of the Presidential Libraries, you get a commemorative gift.

Poignant morning at the annual Four Chaplains service in Coventry today. It is held each year at the Cornerstone of Faith Methodist Church, 1081 Main Street.
Four chaplains aboard the Dorchester, when it was hit by a torpedo from a N**i sub during World War II, gave their life jackets away to members of the ship’s crew, and as the ship went down, survivors in nearby rafts could see the four chaplains–arms linked and braced against the slanting deck. Their voices could also be heard singing and offering prayers until they drowned.
Every year a service to honor their sacrifice is held. And this year, the head of the Four Chaplains Foundation, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was in attendance to give a bronze medal to Jane Deptula, a retired Marine, who started the annual tradition in Coventry.

What a special afternoon at Bayview at Scalabrini in North Kingstown, Rhode Island! Working with Congressman Seth Magaziner, we got medals owed to a Vietnam veteran, Mr. David Barber, who was a Helo Crew Chief. All his fellow residents came out, and the event was covered by a local television station, Channel 12, as well as a town newspaper, the Independent.
