Safe Sitter Program @ Central
Tuesday, June 30 | 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM

The Safe Sitter Program is designed to prepare students entering grades 6-8 to be safe when they are home alone or watching younger children. The instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students even practice choking rescue and CPR skills on manikins!

The Web They Wove: Women & Their Wardrobes During the American Revolution @ Central
Tuesday, June 23 | 6:00 - 7:30 PM

From the mythology of homespun to legends of midnight rides in red cloaks & calashes, the Dirty Blue Shirts share stories of women who waged war on multiple fronts as well as a look at what they wore as their worlds turn’d upside down.

Tonight, Wednesday, June 17 at 6:30 PM @ William Hall, author Linford Fisher will be joined by Wunneanatsu Lamb-Cason, Assistant Director of the Native American and Indigenous Studies Initiative at Brown University, to discuss his new book, "Stealing America: The Hidden Story of Indigenous Enslavement in US History."

🎉👕 New shirt designs are here!! Come in and grab your limited edition "Real Readers of Cranston" shirt, or an "Everyone Belongs at the Library" tee! (Youth sizes available in the "Everyone Belongs..." design.)

Shirts are $20 for adult sizes, and $15 for Youth, and are available for purchase at Central library. All proceeds benefit the Cranston Public Library Association (CPLA) and the Friends of the Cranston Public Library.

Thank you so much to the Rotary Club of Cranston for their generous support of the Cranston Public Library.

We are so grateful for the $1,000 grant awarded to the library to directly support our summer reading program. Youth Services Librarian, Tayla Cardillo, accepted the grant on behalf of the library during the club's awards ceremony.
