Meet the new Crawford Fire 601! We are excited to announce the arrival of our brand-new Freightliner 4,000-gallon tanker, it is a huge addition to our department and our community! This truck will provide much needed water support for grass and structure fires.

We would like say thank you to the Texas A&M Forest Service for making this possible through a cost share grant and to the Crawford community for their donations.

We also want to thank Ledwell and Son Enterprises for building this truck for our department.

We are a 100% volunteer department which operate on your donations, please consider making a donation.

🔥 BURN BAN IN EFFECT – McLENNAN COUNTY 🔥

Due to ongoing dry conditions and increased wildfire risk, the McLennan County Commissioners Court has issued an Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning in all unincorporated areas of McLennan County.

This burn ban is effective immediately and will remain in place for up to 90 days, unless lifted earlier by the County Judge or Commissioners Court.

Failure to comply with the burn ban is a Class C misdemeanor and may result in fines.

Let’s all do our part to prevent wildfires and keep our community safe.

We are lined up and ready to go for the Annual Let your light shine event.
