As everyone knows the pool will not be opening this season. This means we will not have our swimming lessons which were supposed to start tomorrow. The Fort has done a great job trying to accommodate us, but it just isn't going to work.

As most everyone has already heard, we burst a pipe on Friday. I have tried to come up with solutions for swimming lessons beginning tomorrow, but just have not found a good one. Due to this we have to cancel lessons tomorrow breaks our hearts, but it is what it is.

We are bound and determined to get this pool up and running so fingers crossed the repairs go well tomorrow.

Don't forget we have FREE swimming lessons. Yes, FREE thanks to a grant from Step Into Swim!!!! Sessions are June 24-June 28, July 8-July 12, July 22-July 26, August 5-August 9. If you want to sign up early, message your children's age, what session and your phone number. If you already signed up, we have you down and a of couple days before the lesson start date we will call to confirm and give you a time.

We have FANTASTIC news!!! On Friday, June 21 we will officially be open. Our hours will be 1-5 pm and 6-8 pm for open swimming and 5-6 pm for lap swimming. We will get back to everyone about when water aerobics start and the days it is held.

We want to thank everyone for their patience and support as we have navigated all the pool issues. You are appreciated! It has been a bit of a rough road but we had A LOT of people pitching in to get the pool up and running. The Park Board Scott DeBock, Edward Blacksheep, Jenny Nixon, Jerry Lemmon and Roger Campbell. Without their ability to see the needs and follow through the pool would not be as gorgeous as it is. The City workers Dan, Dennis, Edward, Auggie, Kevin, Ian and Tim. We appreciate all the extra you all have done to help. The lifeguards Carly Lemmon, Kylah Vogel, Natalie Barry, Keslyn Vogel and Peyton Osmotherly who have put in lots of labor and took every setback we had, attacked them head on and got it done. Dianne DeBock for the awesome new signs. As the saying goes it takes a Village………

We have probably missed people to thank and if so PLEASE let us know and we will add them to this post. People have been so generous.

We are so very excited to show off all that has been accomplished that we will host an Open House Friday from 10 am to 12 pm for any and all who want to come and look at the progress and have a tour. Please remember it is a work in progress and there are still things that need to be done but we have an amazing start.

Carly is working on a special project. We are going to create a wall of all the lifeguards that have worked at the Crawford Pool. The pool opened back in 1975 and has been open every year. If you were ever a lifeguard at the Crawford pool, send me your first and last name (maiden) and the year(s) you worked at the pool.

Our community is so amazing that they always ask what we need for the pool. Below is a link our to registry. We added a few more items.

Shout out to Twila Satchell, Twila Vogl and Jerry Reser for already purchasing items.

We know the loungers are expensive. However, we have to have all plastic loungers because the chlorine and sun eat fabric ones very quickly. Thank you to Susan Leeling for thinking of the idea of pooling money to purchase the loungers. Feel free to drop off donations at the City Offices or the pool when you see us working. We also have gift cards in the registry to help with the expense.

EEEK!!! SO EXCITING a brand new refrigerator was just delivered! Thank you to John and Doreen Powers(Keslyn and Kylah's gparents)for the AWESOME fridge! We will figure prices for the drinks and snacks and post.

Just a reminder that our swimming lessons are FREE this season thanks to a grant from Step Into Swim. We have finalized the four dates for swimming lessons. They are:
June 24-28

July 22-26
August 5-9
