BIG NIGHT FOR THE LADY MOUNTIES! 🔴⚫

Great battle and perseverance from the Lady Mountie Volleyball team tonight! They closed out a 3-1 victory over North Montgomery in Monon Conference play! 🏐💪

Lady Mountie Soccer also secured a WIN over county rival North Montgomery, winning on penalty kicks after battling to a 1-1 tie in regulation! ⚽🔥

Two big wins over the Chargers tonight!

🏈🍂 Fall is in full effect at Southmont!

The Mounties may have come up just short tonight in the scoreboard, but there was no shortage of Mountie spirit!

📣 The student section was LOUD and helped cause multiple false starts and a safety!

🎶 The band is already sounding like they’re in midseason form!

📣 The cheerleaders brought the energy all night long!

Most importantly, the Southmont community showed up and came together to cheer on our Mounties! ❤️🖤

There’s nothing quite like Friday nights at Southmont! Go Mounties! 🏈

POWERSCHOOL ACCESS

If you are a CTE student or guardian that would like to have access to your CTE Powerschool account, please email Miss Galloway at [email protected]. She can provide login steps and credentials as needed. This will allow students and parents to monitor their CTE grades and attendance.

Students and guardians from CHS and AVA will use their normal credentials.

🚨🚨PICTURE DAY IS TOMORROW!!!🚨🚨

Students will have their photos taken tomorrow morning, August 13th.

We will call students down during the morning from class for photos. Morning CTE students will get photos taken when they arrive after their morning class.

Senior yearbook headshots will be taken September 7th and 8th. More info will come…

There’s still time to join Southmont Show Choir! 🎶

Open auditions will be held Wednesday, August 26 from 3–5 p.m. in the Southmont Choir Room for students interested in joining one of our show choirs:

🎤 Young Originals — Grades 6–8
🎤 Panache — Grades 9–12
🎤 Sudden Impulse — Grades 9–12

Current show choir members are already set for the season and do NOT need to re-audition. These auditions are for students who are not currently members but would like the opportunity to join!

The audition song will be, "Over the Rainbow." Students can join the Google Classroom using the code w7qchit4 to access practice tracks and additional information.

Know someone who belongs on stage? Encourage them to give it a try!
