Crawfordsville High School made an impressive statement during its inaugural season in the Monon Athletic Conference (MAC), with both the boys and girls athletic programs finishing among the conference's top performers during the 2025–26 school year.
In the final All-Conference standings, the Crawfordsville boys tied for first place with Cascade, while the girls earned an outstanding second-place finish, highlighting the strength and consistency of the Athenian athletic program across multiple sports.
The boys captured two outright Monon Athletic Conference championships in Tennis and Swimming & Diving, while also earning runner-up finishes in Soccer, Wrestling, and Golf.
The girls continued the momentum by claiming conference championships in Soccer and Track & Field, while finishing as conference runner-up in Tennis, Volleyball, and Swimming & Diving.
The overall success reflects the depth of Crawfordsville's athletic programs and the dedication of its student-athletes, coaches, and supporters throughout the school year.
"In its first year of competition, the Monon Athletic Conference proved to be highly competitive in all sports," said Crawfordsville High School Athletic Director Bryce Barton. "Night in and night out, teams felt like they could compete against each other and come out on top.
"Our conference schools accounted for a state champion, a state runner-up, and several teams competed for semi-state championships. The fact that our boys tied for the All-Conference race and our girls finished second showed the consistency in our program's results,” Barton said.
"We had great leadership from our senior class. The coaches and athletes bought into the message that we need student-athletes to compete year-round in multiple sports in order for all of our programs to succeed."
Crawfordsville's success in the Monon Athletic Conference underscores the strength of the school's athletic culture and its commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes. The achievements across numerous sports demonstrate not only competitive excellence but also the value of teamwork, leadership, and year-round dedication.
