🌪️ TORNADO WATCH ISSUED UNTIL 2:00 AM

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Montgomery County and much of west-central Indiana until 2:00 AM EDT Friday.

A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes and severe thunderstorms. It does not mean a tornado is occurring, but now is the time to stay weather aware and be prepared to take shelter if warnings are issued.

✔️ Have multiple ways to receive warnings overnight.
✔️ Charge your phone and keep emergency alerts enabled.
✔️ Review your safe place and be ready to move there quickly if a Tornado Warning is issued.
✔️ Never rely solely on outdoor warning sirens.

Counties included in the watch are Boone, Carroll, Clinton, Fountain, Howard, Montgomery, Parke, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Vermillion, and Warren.

Montgomery County Emergency Management & Homeland Security will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.
