REMINDER: The last day to log books for Children and Young Adults is this Sunday, July 12! Anything logged after Sunday will not count towards the Summer Reading Program.

Reminder that the last day to log books in Beanstack for the Summer Reading Program is July 12 for Children & YA and July 30 for Adults! You can log your books through the Beanstack app at home or we can help log them for you at the Circulation Desk!

PINES is now offering Autorenewals! See below for details.

Keeping up with due dates for your library books just got easier! Books checked out July 1 or after will attempt automatic renewal, preventing overdue charges if you are a few days late renewing or returning items.

How does it work? A few days before your book is due, you will receive an email notification letting you know whether your checked out item has been renewed. Please note that some items are not eligible for autorenew, such as when there are no additional renewals remaining, if there are pending holds on the item, or if there are existing account fines over $10. Even with autorenew, be sure to keep an eye on your due dates via the PINES app or gapines.org. Cardholders will still receive a courtesy notice two days before each due date for any items not eligible for autorenew.

We are so excited to have Atlanta Brassworks coming to play patriotic music for us this Friday!

A little info about the band:

The Atlanta Brassworks is proud to be one of the oldest consistently performing Brass Quintets in the country! Today’s members also serve as principal brass players in the Atlanta Ballet, Atlanta Opera, Columbus (GA) Symphony, Georgia Symphony, Greenville Symphony, and other ensembles. Individually, they have performed rock n’ roll with Springsteen, the Who, Matchbox Twenty, Sinead O’ Connor, musicals (e.g., Lion King, Mary Poppins, Chicago, 42nd Street), jazz and big band with the Glen Miller Orchestra and at the Blue Note, chamber Music with the Empire Brass, and classical music with the Atlanta Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra, and the Boston Symphony.

Join us Friday, July 3 at 3 pm to hear them play!
