Good Afternoon,

Hope everyone is staying safe and warm. Here is some important information from us here at the East Deer Township Office.

Garbage will be picked up Saturday January 31, 2026 this week.

Our Public Works Department is trying to get the snow removed from all the township roads. As they go through each street, please keep an eye out for them working on your street and if you are able to move your vehicle this will help them clear the roads for all. This process to remove all the piles will take some time to do. We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we work through this.

Saturday January 31st there is a Concert Benefit being held at the Pittsburgh Brewing Company for our Public Works Working Foreman Herman Bertolini and his family that lost their home to a house fire before Christmas. Doors open at 3:00 PM and is being held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Along with the bands performing there will be a 50/50, a Chinese Auction and Lepin Leo and Host Ash Wood Fire Pizza food trucks. Hope to see everyone come out to support one of our own!

If you have any questions or concerns please call the township office.

Thank you and stay safe in this cold and snowy weather.

Doors open at 3PM.

The event will feature live performances by The Nieds Hotel Band and The Shiners, raising critical funds for Herman “Hermie” Bertolini, a beloved longtime resident, volunteer, and EMT with the East Deer Volunteer Fire Department who lost his home in a devastating fire in early December 2025.

Herman has dedicated years of service to his community as a first responder and volunteer. After the fire destroyed his home, he was left homeless and in need of support to begin rebuilding. This benefit concert offers friends, neighbors, and supporters an opportunity to rally around him in a meaningful way.

🎟️ Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
All proceeds will directly support the Herman Bertolini Fire Fund to help with immediate and long-term recovery needs.

Tickets are nonrefundable and can be purchased online at: https://www.tickettomato.com/event/9885/concert-to-benefit-the-hermie-bertolini-fire-fund-the-nieds-hotel-band-amp-the-shiners
