Joe Hamilton is a Pre-K through fifth grade elementary school with a focus on student learning. As a QEIA (Quality Education Investment Act) school we are able to provide class sizes of 1:20 in grades K-3 and 1:25 in grades 4-5. Our teachers are dedicated to improving their teaching to meet the learning needs of each child in their classroom. Our staff’s top priority this year is to create a safe

community for all of our students. We believe that one way to promote academic excellence is to provide a safe and positive climate. Joe Hamilton School has created a school-wide system that teaches and reinforces appropriate behaviors that support a successful, productive school community by recognizing and rewarding positive behaviors. The principles of our Positive Behavior System include Respect, Responsibility, and Right Choices. You are encouraged to become an active part of the Sea Otter Nation. Our PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) is actively working to raise funds to support our All Day, Every Day attendance drive. If you are interested in serving on our School Site Council, joining PTO, or in volunteering at the school, please contact our office staff.
