A heartfelt thank you to the community members who quickly reported fires and took action to help prevent them from spreading over the past several weeks.

We also extend our deepest appreciation to our local, state, and Tribal firefighters and all responding partners. These dedicated men and women work tirelessly to protect our communities, and their fast, coordinated response has helped bring these fires under control quickly.

Gusty west-northwesterly winds, low afternoon relative humidity, and warming temperatures will elevate fire danger across interior northwestern California this weekend.

Even though we are moving into late summer, river hazards exist all year round. Hazards like currents and submerged trees can make swimming, tubing, and even wading dangerous. Make your river visit a safe one and wear a life jacket.

🔥 ARROW FIRE UPDATE — JULY 24, 2026 🔥

Fire crews are responding to the Arrow Fire, located along the Klamath River north of the Humboldt County line and southeast of Klamath Glen.

As of approximately 12:49 p.m., the fire was estimated at 6 acres and was being held by retardant lines. Additional engines and hand crews have been requested.
