Battery Point Lighthouse

Battery Point Lighthouse Battery Point Lighthouse was first lit in 1856. Battery Point Lighthouse was first lit in 1856 by
The first official keeper Theophilis Magruder.

The Crescent City Lighthouse was automated in 1953, and a modern 375mm lens replaced the original fourth-order Fresnel lens. After automation, the Del Norte Historical Society leased the lighthouse. The lighthouse eventually became home to a museum and curators and is open for tours.

🇺🇸 Let’s take a moment to remember the true significance of Memorial Day. Our nation is deeply indebted to the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and its freedoms. Remembering them on Memorial Day, saying thank you, doesn’t seem like nearly enough when we owe them so much for their service, bravery and sacrifice.
